Work: Place

Overview

Where people conduct their work—whether in an office, facility or indeed at home, has a big impact on their welfare, quality of work and level of productivity.

If people are not comfortable and content with their surroundings and facilities at work they are likely to work sub-optimally or even leave. This can lead to lost profits because of high turnover and also damage an organisation's reputation.

Factors such as space to move, seating arrangements, lighting and access to outdoor space are all important to creating better work places. Working from different places (such as home) creates new opportunities but also new challenges.

Work Play Fit appraises a wide range of factors both environmental and social factors to advise on developing optimal work places.
